Daniel T. Jacobson, CPA, MBT
Principal, Tax Accountant
Daniel Jacobson graduated from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in December of 1990. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), having received his certificate in 1998. Daniel also received his Masters in Business Taxation (MBT) from U of M in 1999. He started his accounting career at the Soo Line Railroad (CP Rail Systems) in 1991, spending 5 years in corporate accounting. In 1996 he took a position with Schechter Dokken Kanter Andrews & Selcer, Ltd., a local CPA firm located in downtown Minneapolis. He spent three years there, specializing in individual, business and trust taxation. In January of 1999 Daniel went into business with his father, establishing a firm that specialized in both individual and business taxation. Daniel is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Tax Preparer’s.
Andrew Young, EA
Tax Manager
Andrew Young graduated from Iowa State University in 1993. He has been preparing personal and business income taxes since 2003. He spent the first several years of his tax career with H&R block, where he obtained the position of a level III preparer, and the past several years he has been preparing tax returns at several local CPA firms. He has vast experience from basic individual income tax to high net worth income tax returns, including self-employed and rental situations. Andrew started with Jacobson & Young in late 2013. He holds the Enrolled Agent designation, federally licensed with unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. He enjoys interacting with clients as well as educating them.

This time of year the office is "by appointment only". If you need to stop by and pick up materials please let us know when you plan to do this so we can make sure someone is there at that time. There is a locked box outside the office door for dropping off materials."
